Manual trade entry is the #1 reason traders abandon their journal.

You close 6 trades in a session. By the time the session ends, the last thing you want to do is enter each one manually. So you tell yourself you'll do it later. Later becomes tomorrow. Tomorrow becomes never.

The pattern repeats for two weeks. Now you have a backlog of 40 trades you haven't logged. The friction of catching up is overwhelming. You quietly stop journaling.

The exchange already has all your data. Your journal shouldn't require you to re-enter it by hand.

How CSV Import Works

Every major crypto exchange lets you export your trade history as a CSV file. NexCandle reads this file and imports your trades automatically.

The process takes about 30 seconds:

  1. Export your trade history from your exchange (usually under Account → Trade History → Export)
  2. Go to Import in NexCandle
  3. Drop the CSV file
  4. Review the parsed trades (NexCandle shows a preview)
  5. Confirm the import

Your trades appear in your journal instantly — with coin, direction, entry/exit price, P&L, and timestamps already filled in.

Supported Exchanges

Binance

Export from: Account → Order History → Trade History → Export

NexCandle reads Binance's standard futures and spot CSV format automatically.

Bybit

Export from: Assets → Trading History → Export

Bybit's format includes position side (Buy/Sell) and closed P&L — NexCandle maps these correctly to LONG/SHORT with accurate P&L.

OKX

Export from: Trade → Orders → Filled Orders → Export to CSV

OKX uses a distinct format with "Avg Open Price" and "Avg Close Price" columns. NexCandle detects this format automatically and parses it correctly — including the instrument name and direction from OKX's position data.

Other exchanges

If your exchange exports a CSV with entry price, exit price, direction, and timestamp, NexCandle can usually read it. Upload the file and the parser will attempt to detect the format.

What Gets Imported

For each trade, NexCandle captures:

  • Coin / instrument (BTC, ETH, SOL, etc.)
  • Direction (LONG or SHORT)
  • Entry and exit prices
  • P&L (in your account currency)
  • Open and close timestamps

After import, you can add notes, tags, strategy labels, and screenshots to any trade. The CSV handles the numbers — you add the context.

DEX / On-Chain Import

Trade on Uniswap, PancakeSwap, or other decentralized exchanges? NexCandle can also import from your wallet directly.

Switch to the On-Chain tab in the Import page. Enter your wallet address (read-only — NexCandle never has custody). Select your chain: Ethereum, BNB Chain, or Polygon.

NexCandle fetches your recent token transfers, detects swaps where one side is a stablecoin (USDT, USDC, DAI, etc.), and reconstructs the trade: which token you bought or sold, at what price, and when.

Preview the results. Confirm the import. Your DEX trades join your centralized exchange trades in the same journal.

Why This Matters for Your Analysis

When your trades are imported automatically, your stats become accurate — and useful.

Without consistent logging: Win rate calculation is based on partial data. Patterns are invisible. The "strategy analysis" tab is empty or misleading.

With consistent logging: Every trade counts. Every pattern shows. The data tells you which setups to keep taking and which to cut.

The difference between a journaler who improves and one who doesn't is almost never strategy. It's data completeness.

Start With Your Last 30 Days

You don't need to import your entire history. Start with the last 30 days.

Export from your exchange. Drop it into NexCandle. In 30 seconds, you have a full picture of your recent performance — win rate, P&L, your most traded coins, your best and worst sessions.

Then keep logging going forward. Manually for new trades, or via CSV at the end of each week.

The data compounds over time. So does the insight it generates.
