Why TradingView Alerts on Telegram?
TradingView is the standard charting platform for most crypto traders. Its alert system is powerful — you can trigger notifications based on price levels, indicator crossovers, drawing tool breaks, and custom Pine Script conditions.
The default notification options (browser, email, SMS) all have one problem: they're easy to miss.
Telegram is different. It's where most traders already are. Push notifications are reliable and instant. And with NexCandle's webhook integration, you can receive formatted, context-rich alerts directly in your Telegram chat — without ever opening your browser.
What You'll Need
- A TradingView account (free or paid — alerts work on all plans)
- A Telegram account
- A NexCandle account (free)
That's it. No coding, no server setup, no API keys to manage.
Step 1: Create Your NexCandle Account
If you haven't already, create a free account on NexCandle. The entire setup takes under two minutes.
Step 2: Connect Telegram
In your NexCandle dashboard, navigate to Settings → Telegram.
You'll see a "Connect Telegram" button. Click it to generate a unique link token. Open that link in Telegram (or scan the QR code) — it will open the NexCandle bot and automatically link your account.
Once connected, you'll receive a confirmation message in Telegram.
Step 3: Generate Your Webhook URL
In Settings → TradingView Integration, click "Generate webhook token." This creates a unique, secure URL that looks like:
https://nexcandle.com/api/webhooks/tradingview?token=YOUR_TOKEN
Copy this URL. You'll paste it into TradingView next.
Step 4: Set Up Your TradingView Alert
- Open TradingView and go to the chart you want to alert on
- Click the alarm clock icon (or press Alt+A) to open the Alert dialog
- Set your condition (price crosses above/below, indicator condition, etc.)
- Under Notifications, check Webhook URL
- Paste your NexCandle webhook URL
- In the Message field, you can customise the alert text. Example:
BTC broke above 72000 — watch for continuation
- Click Create
Step 5: Test It
Trigger the alert manually from TradingView (or wait for your condition to hit). Within seconds, you'll receive a Telegram message formatted like:
📡 TradingView Alert BTC broke above 72000 — watch for continuation Received 14:32 UTC
Advanced: Custom Alert Formatting
TradingView supports dynamic variables in alert messages. You can use:
{{ticker}}— the symbol (e.g. BTCUSDT){{close}}— the closing price{{time}}— the bar time{{interval}}— the timeframe
Example message:
{{ticker}} alert at {{close}} on {{interval}} chart
NexCandle forwards the full message to Telegram, so all variables are resolved and delivered.
What Else NexCandle Can Do
Beyond forwarding alerts, NexCandle is a full crypto trading journal. Every trade you log is automatically analysed for patterns — win rate by setup, hold time asymmetry, revenge trading sequences, and more.
